  • Adaptive technologies are technologies and applications that are meant to help student with specific learning needs and extrinites learn to the best of their ability. They support learners as they are meant to help students grow and succeed in the best way possible through various technologies that are meant to cater to each students unique needs. I think some challenges that these adaptive technolgies pose for students, especially in the younger grades, is that students may feel that they arent all getting the same treatment or oppurtunties. While it is great for learning, students may be sensitive to the fact that everyones challanges and needs are different, which can be a hard concept to grasp at a young age.
  • Blooms taxonomy is a hierarchy that encourages students and teachers to implement a higher level of learning in the classroom. Blooms taxonomy serves as almost a guideline for teachers so they can focus on helping their students use a higher level of thinking, through providing feedback on students works, asking conceptual questions, and interacting with students while they are learning. The focus is mainly on critical thinking which is an important skill to have not only in the classroom but in life. Through powerpoint I would encourage students to think criticaly by asking conceptual questions to ensure their understanding of a lesson.
  • Teachers have so much power when it comes to what their students are learning, that is why it is so important for teachers to be up with it when knowing technoliges and applications that will be useful to their students in the classroom. This goes hand and hand with teachers and the idea of proffesional development. Professional developent is the concept that educators need to continue to learn and be up to date with the latest technoligies.
